Will an electric guitar be as loud with a bass amp?

say i have a 30w bass solidstate vs. a 30w solidstate guitar amp and ply both the same guitar. will it be as loud on the Bass amp as with the Guitar amp?

Well probably yes, but you will not be able to get as good of a response in the higher notes on your guitar. Remember that a bass amp os specifically made to amplify the lower frequency notes of a bass. If you absolutely have to use your bass amp, turn the mid and high graphic EQ knobs up really high and make sure that the bass is set very low if not at zero. You may get a decent sound, but it will never be as good as your guitar amp will be.
