I want to buy high quality equipment on the guitar at a good price ...?

So I bought my Ibanez SR 400 5 string bass. Now I have to buy the equipment, I need the chords, pedals, including the tuner amplifier still .. I do not know how to get there? I've talked to a lot of different music venues and they all tell me it's just me and the sound you want .. But for me .. is difficult to explain what I want .. So I just want some opinions of some bass players out there .. I want to have a good end low blow with the ability to play slap at the same time .. I want to know what cables I should get amp, tuner, pedals? I need a serious line of tuner is a 13foot cable .. then from the tuner to the pedals .. with some smaller 8 "cables and then .. the pedals to amp .. .. What do yall suggest?? amplifier and class?

What do real musicians think of the games Guitar Hero and Rock Band?

I play bass and at first I thought these games were stupid. I bought RB2 for my kids and realized it makes them listen to good songs, learn a sense of rhythm and to recognize instruments. Also the drum is actually relatively close to the real thing (for a game at least).

Many musicians love it..........Slash has openly endorsed it and went as far as appearing in the actual game (GH III).

In fact, All That Remains had a song called "Six" on Guitar Hero II in the Bonus Songs............it turned out to be one of their biggest and most requested songs ever, and it was never even released as a single (no music video either). Now everybody knows the song.

The Bands are essentially getting paid to gain publicity at no cost to them..........many artists love it.
